Από τις 7 έως τις 14 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024, η ΧΕΝ Ελλάδος είχε την τιμή να φιλοξενήσει τα μέλη της Διοικούσας Επιτροπής της Παγκόσμιας ΧΕΝ στο Πολυκέντρο Υπηρεσιών «Αθηνά» στην Ηλιούπολη, για να πραγματοποιήσουν την πρώτη δια ζώσης συνάντησή τους.

Κατά την παραμονή τους στην Αθήνα, τα μέλη, μεταξύ των οποίων η Πρόεδρος Mira Rizeq, η Γενική Γραμματέας και η Ταμίας της Παγκόσμιας ΧΕΝ, ανάμεσα στις εργασίες της Επιτροπής, είχαν την ευκαιρία να ενημερωθούν για το έργο και τις δράσεις της ΧΕΝ Ελλάδος και τον σχεδιασμό της, από ομάδα στελεχών της.

Η επιλογή της Αθήνας για την διεξαγωγή της συνάντησης του Full Board της Παγκόσμιας ΧΕΝ αποτελεί ένα ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό γεγονός τόσο για την ιστορία της οργάνωσης στην Ελλάδα, όσο και για την μετέπειτα πορεία της. Σηματοδοτεί την σύσφιξη των σχέσεων και ενισχύει περαιτέρω τη συνεργασία μεταξύ της ΧΕΝ Ελλάδος όχι μόνο με την Παγκόσμια ΧΕΝ, αλλά και με εθνικές ΧΕΝ σε όλο τον κόσμο. Επιπλέον, κατά τη συνάντηση τέθηκαν τα θεμέλια για τον σχεδιασμό νέων δράσεων, με την υποστήριξη της Παγκόσμιας ΧΕΝ.

Τα μέλη της Παγκόσμιας ΧΕΝ συνέταξαν από κοινού επιστολή, μέσω της οποίας ευχαρίστησαν θερμά τα μέλη της ΧΕΝ Ελλάδος για την φιλοξενία, αναγνώρισαν την σημασία και τον αντίκτυπο του έργου της και εξέφρασαν την υποστήριξή τους για τις επερχόμενες δράσεις της οργάνωσης.

From September 7 to September 14, 2024, the YWCA of Greece had the honor to host the members of the Board of the World YWCA at the «Athina» Service Center in Ilioupoli, to have their first in-person meeting.

During their stay in Athens, the members, including President Mira Rizeq, the General Secretary, and the Treasurer of the World YWCA, among the tasks of the Board, had the opportunity to be informed about the work and actions of the YWCA of Greece, and its planning, by a group of its executives.

The choice of Athens to hold the meeting of the Full Board of the World YWCA is a particularly important event both for the history of the organization in Greece, but also for its subsequent course. It marks the strengthening of relations and further strengthens the cooperation between the YWCA of Greece not only with the World YWCA, but also with national YWCAs around the world. Furthermore, during the meeting, the foundations were laid for the planning of new actions, with the support of the World YWCA.

The members of the World YWCA jointly wrote a letter, through which they warmly thanked the members of the YWCA of Greece for their hospitality, recognized the importance and impact of its work, and expressed their support for the upcoming actions of the organization.
